WSI Kids - Welcome

Welcome to all our new families and of course all of our returning families to WSI Kids Blacktown for 2018. It’s great to have you all with us and we hope that your time with us is a positive and enjoyable experience.

Please feel welcome to come in and have a chat with us at any time.

We are here to help in anyway that we can so please, if there is something troubling you or your child, or some information you need to share, please come and chat to a staff member or send us an email.

The educators who work at our centre spend a lot of time getting to know your child as an individual in order to provide care and education that meets their abilities and interests.

While we do get to know your child quite well as always you will know them better than us. If there is anything you would like to share with us about your child, their interests or anything you would like to us to work with you on then please do not hesitate to talk to us.

The educators are available to talk to you when you drop your child off and when you pick them up. If they are busy at that time please ask to set aside a time for you to have a chat. Drop off and pick up can be a very busy time, so if the educators are unavailable then please don’t be offended. Just ask and we will organise a more suitable time.

We hope you have a wonderful year with us and look forward to working with you.

The educators apply sunscreen in the afternoon however we do appreciate it if you can apply sunscreen on your child in the morning. This ensures the sunscreen has time to absorb into their skin before we go outside.

Spare clothes

Please make sure your child has spare clothes in their bag in case the educators need to change them. Playing can often be a messy job and children often like to change into cleaner clothes later in the day. Please also ensure your child has a hat for outdoor play. LABEL LABEL LABEL everything you bring in. While the educators have great memories it is not always possible to remember which T-shirt your child was wearing three days ago when you notice it missing.

We do ask that when putting your child’s shoes on in the morning that you put on sneakers, closed in shoes or sandles with a firm strap. During the day you child is very physical and they need to have shoes that are safe for climbing, running and being active. Please do not send your child in thongs, high heals or slippers, they are not safe.
